Bluedog Cycles sits at 1260 feet, atop Coon Prairie in the heart of the Ocooch Mountain Range. Along with eastern Iowa and northwestern Illinois, this part of southwestern Wisconsin is referred to as the Driftless Area. The continental glacier that covered most of the surrounding regions did not touch this 13,000 square mile area, which abounds in caves, sinkholes and residual, well-drained soil.

The shop doors opened in October 2005. The husband and wife team of Pete and Alycann Taylor returned, with their baby Wilma Grace, to their home state of Wisconsin after spending the past seven years in the high desert mountains of Boise, Idaho. Viroqua provides closeness to family and abundant opportunities in the wonderful public lands of the Driftless area.

Bluedog Cycles offers full sales and professional service for the family, mountain and road cyclist. We are also excited to teach maintenance classes and provide a public maintenance workshop for the community. BDC leads group road and mountain bike rides several days a week, year round. And finally, we are active in trail building and represent the community in the public land access issues that face us all.
